Dance is a physical activity. Participation in any Audacity class, social dance, workshop or
event is at your own risk.
We prefer all patrons be fully vaccinated for the health and safety of all participants.
You must not attend if you are feeling unwell, have recently been exposed to or contracted
Covid in the previous seven days.
It is your responsibility to disclose any underlying medical condition or injury risk to the
officer in charge prior to you attending any event or class organised by Audacity Dance
Attendance numbers are limited in line with ACT government protocols in force at that time.
We follow ACT Health regulations for dance halls we hire.
Term registration provides an entry pass to attend class.
There is no refund for a forfeited class from non-attendance.
If the unlikely event you register and a class is oversubscribed then we will provide you with
a pro rata credit or refund.
You can choose to rotate partners or stay as a dedicated couple – your call.
We have hand sanitizer available that you must use on arrival and regularly during classes.
You must adhere to these rules to be read in conjunction with the Audacity Dance Code of
Conduct (available here)
Again, depending on government regulations, we may check temperatures on arrival. Face
masks are optional in line with ACT Health Department guidelines for dance groups.
If for some Covid related reason a term or event is cancelled, we will refund you a pro rata
amount. So – if term is cancelled at week 4 of a 10 week term, you would get back 60% pro
rata of the term fee.
If you cancel a term subscription after a few weeks we cannot guarantee any refund due to
our commitment to lease the dance studio and pay teachers and meet overheads such as
insurance.
As with all venues, you may only attend if you are symptom free of Covid-19, have not been
to a Covid hotspot and you are not running a temperature.
In an instance where we offer a shorter term pass, those classes must be used during the
term purchased. Classes will not be honoured in a future term unless prior agreement has
been obtained.
Code of Conduct
The Audacity Code of Conduct is all about respect, being kind, inclusive and most of all putting safety
first. Where there is any discrepancy between the code of conduct and the above dot points, the
combination of both documents represents our legal position.
